Most SEO retainers are theatre.
You get a monthly report. Traffic is up, because a bot filter broke. Rankings improved, on keywords nobody buys from. Thirty posts went out, none of them rank. A year on, the pipeline hasn’t moved.
We start somewhere else. Which searches, in which markets, actually lead to revenue? The technical work, the content, and the links all work backwards from that.
What we actually do
Technical SEO
Crawlability, indexation, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, schema. The layer that decides whether the rest of the work is even legible to Google.
International SEO
Hreflang, country and language targeting, ccTLD versus subfolder strategy, per-market SERP analysis. For brands selling across markets.
Local SEO
Showing up on the map when nearby customers search. Big enough to be its own service. See Local SEO.
Keyword and content strategy
Search-intent mapping, topic clusters, pillar and supporting plans, refresh roadmaps. The plan before anyone writes a word.
Link building and digital PR
Partner links, resource pages, HARO and Qwoted, guest articles on sites with real readers. No PBNs, no link farms.
Analytics and tracking
GA4, Search Console, server-side events, conversion tracking, rank-tracking by market. You can't improve what you don't measure honestly.
A couple of things we’ll push back on
Technical fixes pay back faster than content. Most sites we inherit have indexation, architecture, or schema problems worth 20 to 40% of their current traffic. We fix those first, then write.
Rankings are a leading indicator, not the goal. The goal is pipeline. We report both, but if rank positions are all you care about, we're the wrong agency.
How we work
Audit Weeks 1–2
Technical crawl, content audit, keyword and intent mapping, competitor and SERP analysis.
Roadmap Week 3
A prioritised 90-day plan, scoped by effort and impact. You approve it before we execute.
Execution Month 2+
Technical fixes, on-page work, content, link building. Weekly updates, shared dashboard.
Compound Month 6+
Authority and content compound. This is where the programme starts paying back disproportionately.
Three ways to work with us
SEO audit and roadmap
A two to three week deep audit plus a prioritised 90-day plan. Run it in-house or bring it back to us. Best for brands who need direction first.
SEO retainer
Ongoing strategy and execution: technical, on-page, content, link building, reporting. Six-month minimum. Best for treating SEO as the compounding investment it is.
International SEO programme
A dedicated engagement for brands expanding across two or more markets. Hreflang, localisation, per-market research and authority. Best for B2B and D2C crossing borders.
